NEW YORK: The Tiger Woods Foundation (TWF) has retained Dan Klores Communications (DKC) as its AOR.
Scott Novak, a New York-based DKC VP, has worked on a project basis with the foundation for the last two years. He will continue to lead the TWF team and will draw from staffers depending on the resources needed.
DKC's role will be a combination of consultant and media outreach work. Novak said that the foundation fits into many different arenas, so media outreach would involve both general interest press and philanthropic trade. Novak and DKC will not be actively pitching the sports page, however.
DKC will continue to work with RWF with media outreach for the upcoming opening of the Tiger Woods Learning Center; Tiger Jam Benefit concerts, which have featured Bon Jovi, Prince, and the Goo Goo Dolls; and other initiatives.
Some of those initiatives, Novak said, have communications that take place all year, such as the Target World Challenge, of which the TWF is a beneficiary.
