NEW YORK: The University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School has hired Peppercom as its AOR. The agency will work to raise the school's profile in the media and in the business community.
Peppercom had already done "positioning work" with the school last year, according to partner and senior director Ted Birkhahn.
It is Kenan-Flagler's position that a gap exists between what business schools offer and what the business community needs, according to Birkhahn.
Peppercom will seek to close that gap by helping the school form partnerships with corporations by playing up the school's "communication, teamwork, and leadership."
"[We will] position UNC as a school that instills those three attributes," he said.
Three people in the agency's New York office and two in the UK will handle the account. Financial terms were not disclosed.
