LOS ANGELES: Joe Kessler, former head of California operations for Weber Shandwick, has re-emerged at New York-based Shepardson, Stern, & Kaminsky (SS&K) as a partner.
"We've known him for a long time, and we think he's a great guy and a great fit for our company because he's very inventive ... and knows how to get things done," said SS&K founding partner Mark Kaminsky.
Kessler will open an LA outpost for the agency, which currently has offices in New York, Boston, and Seattle.
SS&K is owned in part by talent and literary management company Creative Artists Agency, making Los Angeles an "obvious and exciting place to grow," said Kaminsky.
SS&K's clients include Time Warner Cable, Microsoft, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation among others.
