LOS ANGELES: Allan Mayer has been named managing director of Sitrick & Co.
Mayer was previously head of the agency's entertainment practice, where he counseled celebrities like R. Kelly on crisis issues. Mayer has also worked with Rush Limbaugh and Steven Spielberg, as well as with non-entertainment clients, such as Yahoo.
"The elevation of Allan to managing director reflects his increasing contributions to the growth and management of the firm," said chairman and CEO Michael Sitrick. "He is an extraordinarily talented professional and a skilled manager. He provides valuable counsel to our clients and adds an important dimension to our firm."
Sitrick also has made two hires: Carol Stogsdill and Kelly Mullens, both former staffers at Fleishman-Hillard's Los Angeles office.
