WASHINGTON: The communications director for House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-TX) is moving to public affairs firm DCI Group.
Stuart Roy, who has worked with DeLay for three years, will head up DCI's PR practice. He previously served as communications director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee and as deputy assistant secretary of labor during the first year of President George W. Bush's administration. Roy, who will begin his new job in the middle of next month, will report to DCI CEO Doug Goodyear. His replacement in DeLay's office hasn't been selected.
Roy said he wanted to work for the controversial congressman because "he's the straw that stirs the drink."
