PRINCETON, NJ: Drug company Novo Nordisk has hired Lori Moore to fill its top US communications post.
The company, which leads the industry in diabetes products, has also integrated public affairs and strategic advocacy into corporate communications for the first time.
Moore noted that by integrating PR with other marketing departments, Novo Nordisk is looking to build a "more fully integrated" and more consistent image of the company. She added that Novo Nordisk is planning to launch more unbranded campaigns and build relationships with third party partners.
Moore will report to the VP of diabetes marketing in the US as well as the VP of corporate communications in Denmark.
She joins from Aventis Pharmaceuticals, where she was director of US commercial communications and media relations.
Two people take over for Moore at Aventis, which has now merged with Sanofi-Synthelabo. Marc Greene will oversee the media relations component, and Lisa Kennedy will manage product communications.
