Ogilvy Healthcare, Healthworld finalize merger

NEW YORK: WPP companies Ogilvy Healthcare and Healthworld Communications Group have completed their merger to form Ogilvy Healthworld.

NEW YORK: WPP companies Ogilvy Healthcare and Healthworld Communications Group have completed their merger to form Ogilvy Healthworld.

Ogilvy Healthworld offers integrated consumer and professional marketing services in one global healthcare communications network, including advertising, clinical trial recruitment marketing, medical education, and PR.

Steven Girgenti, formerly Healthworld chairman and CEO, will lead the new company as global CEO.

AstraZeneca recently selected Ogilvy Healthworld to develop a global brand identity for its Galida product, which addresses Type II Diabetes and Metabolic Syndrome. The brand is scheduled to launch in 2007. It will also develop a brand strategy for Roche's Herceptin, a targeted breast cancer therapy drug.

Ogilvy Healthworld's clients include Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, GlaxoSmithKline, Wyeth, and AstraZeneca.
