WATERTOWN, MA: Cymfony will soon offer its clients Digital Consumer Insight, a product that monitors and analyzes millions of blogs, message boards, and other consumer-generated media.
"It's really focused on our core expertise, which is information discovery," said Andrew Bernstein, CEO of Cymfony. "It extends our technology and it fits into what our current and future customer needs are."
Bernstein said Digital Consumer Insight, which is built around the same architecture as its Dashboard product, has been in development for the past six to eight months. Clients should be running the platform in the next three to six weeks.
Digital Consumer Insight will be geared toward not only public relations professionals, but also market researchers and marketing executives. Some of the industries targeted will be automotive, technology, consumer products, pharmaceuticals, and financial services.
Using a technique developed for the US government, called cross document profile and merging, the product can look for similar messages among different documents, which can help identify people that may post under different names on different message boards.
