NEW YORK and LONDON:Factiva has acquired the business and assets of 2B Reputation Intelligence and Benchmarking Solutions, a London-based technology and consulting business specializing in media monitoring and reputation management.
"This is largely the result of [requests from] our PR customers," said Clare Hart, president and CEO of Factiva. As part of the deal, Factiva has acquired three of 2B's media monitoring and corporate reputation management tools, all of which will be rebranded as Factiva products.
The products combine editorial and visualization tools that use graphs to illustrate trends uncovered by analysis of content gathered by Factiva.
"We've been looking into [the concept of] visualization for three years," Hart said. "As we see the volume of information growing, we see it contributing to information overload unless we help people get to just relevant pieces of information."
