CHICAGO: GolinHarris is taking its first steps into the Middle East with an office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Golin?s previous footprint in the Middle East came through a three-year relationship with independent Dubai affiliate MCS Action. That relationship has been terminated as a result of the new Dubai office, which is the agency?s ninth in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.

Ziad Hasbani, managing director, will lead the Dubai office, which will include 10 employees. Cook said the company is looking at potentially expanding to Saudi Arabia next year. Tasked with the company?s Middle Eastern growth strategy is Gregory Tikhanoff, regional managing director, who is also a principal with advertising firm Horizon.FCB, Foote Cone & Belding?s Dubai office. Both FCB and Golin are members of the Interpublic Group (IPG).
Golin president Fred Cook, was in Dubai for the opening.
