NEW YORK: The WNBA has hired Aaron Salkin as director of basketball communications, its second-highest comms role.
Salkin was formerly director of football communications for the Atlanta Falcons, and before that was director of media relations for the New York Giants last week.
Salkin's main responsibility will be to work with national basketball and sportswriters, Robustelli said. He will also coordinate strategy with the league's 13 individual team PR managers.
"His NFL experience I think is something that is very comparable to what he'll now be doing here," said Sharon Robustelli, the WNBA's senior director of communications.
