NEW YORK: Medialink has formed a strategic partnership with Wheels TV, a television network, video-on-demand, and broadband service designed to showcase the automotive lifestyle.
Under the agreement, WheelsTV will provide an outlet for Medialink VNRs related to the auto industry, said Lidj Lewis, VP of media relations for Medialink.
"We look at this as a content relationship," he said. "They have a need for content, and we're providing the content."
However, he added that any material submitted to WheelsTV would still be subject to the network's review before airing.
Lewis said the partnership provides a targeted outlet for clients and reflects Medialink's strategy of seeking new distribution pathways.
"This provides an attractive platform for us," he said. "It is another step in our effort to provide integrated media solutions for our clients."
Lewis said that Medialink is currently working with WheelsTV to develop programming which should be ready to air by the end of the second quarter.
