Lou Capozzi, chairman and CEO of MS&L since 1997, has been appointed as chairman of the PRCC. Mark Hass, an MS&L regional president who oversees much of the Midwest region for the agency, will step into Capozzi's slot immediately.

Publicis also announced that former journalist Eric Giuily, president and CEO of Publicis Consultants, will join Hass on the "Executive Committee" of the PRCC.

The newly created group, which will function as part of Publicis' Specialized Agencies and Marketing Services organization, will encompass 1,300 employees in 25 countries, the company said.

In a statement, Capozzi noted the "tremendous growth" in the PR and corporate communications industries, and said "PRCC will allow us to align and maximize this expertise to build a best-in-class offering in every part of the world."
