NEW YORK: Young & Rubicam has announced that Anne Fudge is stepping down from her position as head of Y&R Advertising.
She will remain as chairman and CEO of the parent company, Y&R Brands, which also houses Burson-Marsteller.
The move comes after much speculation about Fudge wishing to focus on the parent company, rather than the day-to-day business of its flagship brand. The Y&R advertising agency has also felt pressure from holding company WPP for a spate of client losses, including Sony Electronics, Jaguar, and Computer Associates.
A company statement said that Fudge would lead the search for her successor.
