NEW YORK: Jennifer James has been named VP of media relations for L'Oreal USA, a subsidiary of L'Oreal SA. James joined L'Oreal from Time in London, where she had been a staff writer for the magazine's European edition for five years.

SAN FRANCISCO: Nicole Russell Didda, EVP and GM of Edelman's San Francisco office, has left the agency to join Mercer Delta Consulting - a change management firm - as a partner. Prior to joining Edelman three years ago, she worked for FitzGerald Communications. Edelman is currently seeking her replacement.

BELLEVUE, WA: Rowan Benecke, VP and GM of Waggener Edstrom's Northwest offices, has left the agency due to complications with his visa. An Australian citizen, Benecke said he applied for permanent residency, but his application was turned down. EVP Katie Kemp will oversee the Northwest region until Benecke's replacement is found.

NEW YORK: 5W Public Relations has won two new accounts: Baylo Entertainment, a full-service entertainment company founded by Chicago Bears wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad, and Opulent Lifestyle, a members-only concierge service catering to celebrities and busy executives.

OAKLAND, CA: Gourmet meat company Niman Ranch has hired San Francisco-based Glodow Nead Communications as its AOR. Niman Ranch did not previously work with an agency.
