NEW YORK: Leslee Dart, who recently left a top-level position with PMK/HBH, has brought aboard a trio of partners for her new venture, The Dart Group.
Amanda Lundberg and Cynthia Swartz both join the fledgling agency from Miramax. Robert Garlock will leave his position as managing director at PMK/HBH New York to join Dart.
Currently, Garlock represents clients including Johnny Depp, Kate Winslet, and Uma Thurman, among others, but it is unknown which, if any, clients will follow him.
Lundberg and Swartz have worked on films including Chicago and The Aviator while at Miramax, and Swartz has run a number of high-profile Oscar campaigns.
The Dart Group, which may be renamed in the future, will focus exclusively on representing talent and handling film publicity, including awards and other special campaigns.
Since leaving PMK/HBH under acrimonious circumstances, Dart has worked on films such as Russell Crowe's Cinderella Man and the upcoming remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She also represents talent including Tom Hanks and Tim Burton.
The firm will remain based in New York, but has plans to open an LA office in the near future.
