WASHINGTON: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is looking for an agency to craft a public awareness campaign for a web-based chronic disease journal.
Preventing Chronic Disease: Public Health, Research, and Policy, is a free, peer-reviewed publication that the CDC launched in January 2004. The quarterly journal reaches public health practitioners, chronic disease researchers, and health promotion specialists.
The selected agency will be charged with increasing visitors to the journal's website as well as the number of article downloads, and subscriptions.
Measurement will be an important part of the account, with the selected agency expected to track and monitor the results of the campaign.
The CDC was to issue the RFP late last week, and expects the campaign to last seven months from the award date.
