WASHINGTON: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is looking for an agency to craft a public awareness campaign for a web-based chronic disease journal.
Preventing Chronic Disease: Public Health Research, Practice, and Policy, is a free, peer-reviewed publication the CDC launched in January 2004. The quarterly journal reaches public health practitioners, chronic disease researchers, and health promotion specialists.
The selected agency will be charged with increasing visitors to the journal?s website, as well as the number of article downloads and subscriptions.
Measurement will be a key part of the account, with the selected firm expected to track and monitor campaign results.
The CDC was to issue the RFP late last week, and expects the campaign to last seven months from the award date.
