LOS ANGELES: Phoenix-based political consulting shop Kaasa, Milton & Reithmann (KMR) has merged with marketing agency Riester-Robb to create a new public affairs arm.

Called Riester-Robb Public Affairs, the division also announced it had hired the deputy director of the Arizona Department of Commerce, Joe Yuhas, as executive director and partner. Riester-Robb director of PR Curtis Steinhoff said Yukas was chosen because he is ?a very well-connected person within the state, and a great mind.?

Tim Riester, president and CEO of Riester-Robb, said the merger in part was to help his agency become a full-service marketing shop.

The new division opens August 15th, and retains KMR clients including United Phoenix Fire Fighters, Sky Harbor International Airport, and the Support Sky Harbor Coalition
