Boeing raises 16-year vet Toulouse to comms VP role

CHICAGO: Anne Toulouse, a 16-year Boeing veteran, has become the company's new VP of communications.

CHICAGO: Anne Toulouse, a 16-year Boeing veteran, has become the company's new VP of communications.

She replaces Larry McCracken, who retired June 30. She'll report to Tod Hullin, SVP, communications.

Toulouse had been the VP of brand management and advertising for Boeing. The company is searching for a replacement for her in that position.

She will handle both jobs until a replacement is hired, said John Dern, VP of PR.

Toulouse joined McDonnell Douglas, which Boeing subsequently bought, in 1989. She had been overseeing advertising and brand management for more than five years and was part of the team that helped relocate Boeing's corporate headquarters to Chicago in 2001.

Boeing last week announced that W. James McNerney Jr., former CEO of 3M, would become its new CEO.

No changes are planned in Boeing's communications operations as a result of the McNerney hiring, Dern said.
