WASHINGTON: Lisa Davis, senior adviser to the chief communications officer at AARP, has been named a fellow at Harvard University's Institute of Politics at the John F. Kennedy School of Government for the fall semester.

CHICAGO: Innovene, spun off from BP Group in March, has hired Edelman to work on its global launch and brand identity. The account will be led from Chicago and will involve Edelman offices in New York, Houston, Dallas, London, Paris, Frankfurt, and Shanghai.

DALLAS: Trinity Public Relations, specialists in tech and healthcare, has changed its name to Jetstream Public Relations.

NEW YORK: Janene Ferrara has joined Marina Maher Communications as VP, healthcare media relations. Previously, she worked for Chandler Chicco Agency.

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ: MWW Group has named Leslie Linton as VP. Linton joins after 25 years as a producer with such networks as CNN/CNNfn and CNBC.

NEW YORK: Burson-Marsteller has launched a new executive positioning specialty group designed to take a holistic approach to CEO and C-suite thought-leadership initiatives, including executive platform development and high-profile speaking opportunities.

CHICAGO: Hill & Knowlton's Chicago office has signed two new clients, the American Optometric Association and Linens-n-Things. The St. Louis-based association will use H&K to run a national awareness campaign. For Linens-n-Things, H&K will promote an exclusive partnership with decorator Nate Berkus.

NEW YORK: 5W Public Relations has named Jerry Cahn as COO/director of IR. Previously, Cahn served as principal of PortfolioPR, an integrated IR/PR agency.

CHICAGO: Paper shredder-maker Fellowes has selected GolinHarris as AOR for its consumer and b-to-b PR. Golin will manage the account from its Chicago office. It pitched with Foote, Cone & Belding, another Interpublic Group agency, which will handle advertising.

ST. LOUIS: The National Gay Newspaper Guild has hired Fleishman-Hillard's gay and lesbian public communications practice, FH Out Front, to run national PR for a gay and lesbian demographic study, commissioned by the guild and expected to be published later this month.

RALEIGH, NC: French West Vaughan has been retained by Polaris Industries' ATV division to provide national PR and regional mobile marketing support for the company's newest all-terrain vehicle, which will be launched this fall.

CHICAGO: Edelman has hired Janet Cabot as EVP and GM of its food and nutrition unit in its consumer brand practice. Cheryl Cook has joined as an EVP to oversee its US media services practice, based in Chicago. In Texas, Teresa Henderson has joined the agency as EVP and GM of its Southwest region.

Correction: In the July 11 profile of Robert Chandler and Gianfranco Chicco, we reported that Chandler Chicco Agency launched Botox. In fact, it was Burson-Marsteller that launched the drug. We regret the error.
