SEATTLE: Tim Zenk, former campaign chairman for Gov. Christine Gregoire (D-WA), has joined Edelman's public affairs practice as an SVP. Before working on Gregoire's election campaign, Zenk also worked for Chameleon Technology, Telecommunications Systems, Xypoint, and the Rockey Co. He has also worked for Rep. Norm Dicks (D-WA).
LOS ANGELES: Jaime Saberito has been named director of corporate communications for the Hallmark Channel and the Hallmark Movie Channel. She reports to Nancy Carr, corporate communications VP, and is based in New York.
CINCINNATI: Cheryl Campbell is stepping down as VP of PR and corporate communications at Convergys after 35 years in telecommunications. Campbell spent her career with Convergys and its predecessor, Cincinnati Bell. She was also executive director of the Convergys Foundation. Convergys provides business, customer support, and HR services.
NEW YORK: Fox News has promoted Paul Schur to director of media relations. He will oversee all publicity for the network's Washington, DC-based talent and programming.
SAN FRANCISCO: Blanc & Otus has added DreamWorks Animation and LignUp to its client roster. DreamWorks, the studio that produced Shrek, has hired the agency to increase the company's profile in the technology industry. As LignUp's AOR, the firm will focus on raising awareness of the company's web services-based converged communications technology.
