MIAMI: Florida State University has launched the country's first graduate program for Hispanic marketing.
The program is part of the university's new Center for Hispanic Marketing Communication, and is headed by FSU professor and Hispanic marketing expert Dr. Felipe Korzenny.
"It has been brewing for many years that the Hispanic market would become a major force," said Korzenny. "But up until now there [have not been] enough trained individuals who can make sense of the market."
He added that already students are being recruited out of the program, even though only a single one has finished the 18-credit degree.
In addition to a graduate certificate, the program will also offer an undergraduate minor.
