MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA: Edelman's Silicon Valley GM has left the agency, leaving Edelman with its second Bay Area GM vacancy.
Luca Penati left the firm along with his wife, EVP Dushka Zapata. Penati could not be reached immediately for comment.
Earlier this year, San Francisco GM Nicole Russell Didda left the agency after a three-year stint to sign on with change management firm Mercer Delta Consulting as a partner. Edelman has yet to fill the San Francisco GM job.
For the interim, newly appointed global tech practice leader Pam Pollace, based in the Silicon Valley office, will serve as GM of that office, according to an internal memo circulated by Pam Talbot, the agency's US CEO and president.
Pollace joined Edelman in early July. The independent agency plans to search for a permanent replacement in Silicon Valley.
Talbot's e-mail said that Penati and Zapata had resigned, but did not explain why.
Penati joined Edelman in Italy in 1991, and had been in the Bay Area since 1998.
