JACKSONVILLE, FL: Husk Jennings Galloway & Partners [HJGP], a full service agency that has served the Jacksonville market for more than a quarter century, has been bought by two ex-admen who recently moved to the region.
Former Wolf Group founding partner Tom Bolling and former JW Thompson executive Frank Constantini, who moved to Jacksonville from Toronto and New York, respectively, purchased the midsize firm this week for an undisclosed sum. It has been renamed On Ideas.
HJGP partner Del Galloway, who is now EVP and head of PR for On Ideas, said that all HJGP employees and clients have transferred over to the new firm.
"We first developed a relationship with Tom Bolling, who is the CEO of the new organization, about three years ago," Galloway said. "[Bolling and Constantini won a significant piece of [advertising] business, Winn Dixie stores," and contacted HJGP about the possibility of renting office space and hiring some employees. Eventually, Galloway said, the two decided to buy the entire firm.
"What we've told our clients is 'everything for you is seamless, we now just bring even more horsepower," he said.
Former HJGP owner George Husk will step back from day-to-day operations at the agency and concentrate on his personal fine arts businesses in Jacksonville.
