If you're like us, you eat your lunch at your desk. Also breakfast and occasionally dinner. So any product that helps meal-proof your workspace is a welcome invention.
The Unotron Washable Keyboard virtually dares you to knock over that warm Diet Snapple. It's semi-waterproof and can be washed under a tap, so you'll never have to give it the ol' upside-down shake in the vain hope of retrieving your wayward muffin crumbs.
Still, old fears die hard, so it was with some trepidation that we held the Unotron under running water for its first cleaning. But even with our shaky hands, the unit took the water like a champ. We even tried pouring a small bottle of water on it while still hooked up to the computer. Not only did it still function, it held the liquid inside until we poured it out neatly into a cup.
The only drawback may be the Unotron's feel. If you prefer those sturdy keyboards with great jangly keys that click smartly as you type, you may find this model's plastic-y touch unsatisfying. But if you're a messy eater and a klutz, it's probably a smart investment.
