NEW YORK: Party City, a party supply retailer with more than 500 stores, has chosen Stanton Communications as its AOR.
"We were very meticulous about finding the best partner we could," said Melinda Behrens, VP of product development for Party City, based in Rockaway, NJ.
Stanton helped Party City promote itself during Halloween, the store's biggest season, and already has its sights set on campaigns surrounding Valentine's Day, Easter, and summer events in 2006. Stanton plans to work with long-lead media, including women's publications such as Good Housekeeping and Women's Day, to build Party City's brand as a one-stop location for party merchandise and advice, said Deborah Radman, MD of Stanton's New York office, where the account will be managed.
"Party City is the category leader in the specialty retail party segment," Radman said. "They really want to look and act like that.
