RESTON, VA: Judith Muhlberg has left Sprint Nextel less than six months after joining the telecommunications company as SVP of corporate communications.
Muhlberg left to pursue other opportunities, said Nicholas Sweers, director of corporate communications and public relations.
Muhlberg had previously worked for employee relations and management change firm Gagen MacDonald. She was also SVP of corporate communications at Boeing from 1999 to 2003. She has also worked for Ford.
While the $27.4 billion company searches for a new communications leader, Bill White, VP of marketing public relations will lead PR in the interim, said Sweers.
Sprint closed its acquisition of Nextel earlier this year, which has seen its share of other high profile telecommunications mergers.
SBC Communications just completed its acquisition of AT&T, and Verizon's acquisition of MCI is expected to get final approval early in 2006.
