ST. LOUIS: Fleishman-Hillard?s FH Out Front gay and lesbian practice is expanding to the United Kingdom, after completing its first year of existence.
FH Out Front formally launched its UK practice earlier this month.
Ben Finzel, a SVP in Fleishman's Washington, DC office, and Steve Kauffman, a VP in the Chicago office, direct the global practice, which includes staffers in 9 US cities.
In 2006, as part of its global program, FH Out Front will provide worldwide communications for the seventh quadrennial Gay Games set for July 2006. The agency will use two dozen Fleishman staffers in 16 offices to support the games, to be held in Chicago. Corporate sponsors of the game include PlanetOut, Kraft, Walgreens, and Orbitz.com, among others. Finzel said there will be around 12,000 participants.
"Our vision is to be the global leader in gay and lesbian communications, and after just one year we are well on our way," said Fleishman CEO and Chairman John Graham in a statement.
The agency's other clients include the National Gay Newspaper Guild and PFLAG (Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) for which it developed an East Coast celebrity PSA campaign ? Stay Close ? launched in February 2005.
