GPC, a Canada-based Omnicom subsidiary, has been affiliated with CI

since 1997, but the equity transaction only took place last week. It

marks GPC’s second major acquisition in recent months, following a deal

in which McDermott O’Neill Associates was purchased to form GPC/O’Neill

(PRWeek, Oct. 18, 1999).

CI’s 10-strong staff will continue to be led on a day-to-day basis by

chief executive Olivier Le Picard and joint managing directors

Jean-Christophe Adler and Nicolas Bouvier. The firm boasts fee income of

approximately dollars 1.5 million.
