The agency last week announced the launch of Ketchum Entertainment
Marketing, a bi-coastal division that will pair film, TV and music
properties with clients’ products and brands.
Ketchum has recruited two top guns from the consumer and entertainment
publicity arenas to head up the new unit. Mark Malinowski, most recently
manager of TV, film and music sponsorships for Levi Strauss, will lead
the new group in NY as SVP/director, while Tom Freydl, formerly director
of entertainment marketing at Bragman Nyman Cafarelli, will direct
operations in LA as a VP.
Ketchum/LA director Sean Fitzpatrick said that the division was created
to meet the needs of current clients: ’We have seen a huge increase in
demand for celebrity linkage from our consumer products clients.’
