SHANGHAI: Best-of-China.com, the first mainland Chinese e-commerce

portal to be backed by IBM, has tapped Ketchum for its highly

anticipated summer launch.

The portal is aiming to become the main site through which China’s

business-to-business and consumer e-commerce is conducted. The site is a

joint venture between American Ralph Miller - a former CEO of the China

Shopping Network - and the Shanghai Tien Yu Computer Company.

The account, to be directed by Ketchum-Newscan Shanghai, is believed to

be the first global account based out of Shanghai.
