NEW YORK: Hoping to capitalize on its renown in Europe, the Echo
Group will open its doors in New York on April 1.
The company, which provides media evaluation and market research
services, enters a crowded market that includes competitors CARMA and
Delahaye Medialink.
Given that the company has already worked with a host of American
heavy-hitters (including Dow Jones and UPS), the move to these shores
was a natural one, according to SVP Jacqui Walford, who will head the NY
office.
’We wanted to be closer to our US clients and provide a base for US
research,’ she said.
Harold Burson has agreed to advise the NY office as non-executive
director, though the firm said details of his involvement are still
being worked out.
