WASHINGTON, DC: Dittus Communications has launched a healthcare

group and has snared Chris McNamara away from Manning, Selvage & Lee to

helm it.

McNamara, formerly SVP and director of healthcare in MS&L’s Washington

office, will initially focus on growing Dittus’ business from existing

clients, which include the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of

America, the National Association of Chain Drug Stores and Bristol-Myers

Squibb. Prior to his MS&L stint, he served as a VP at Porter Novelli and

as director of communications for the American Diabetes Association.

Dittus has also ramped up its staff in other practice areas, hiring

former Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition staff writer Sandy Nelson

to work with the agency’s financial and hi-tech clients.
