While other suppliers such as PR Newswire and BusinessWire offer
distribution to targeted Hispanic media tracks, NoticiasWire is the
first to focus exclusively on these outlets. Also, unlike these other
services, NoticiasWire will accept releases in Spanish and English, and
the editors will produce a Spanish-language ’newsbite’ for every
English-language release at no extra cost.
’That means Spanish-language and bilingual media can use the newsbite
immediately, reducing the time and resources spent translating, which
translates to better pick-up,’ said Durazo EVP Dan Durazo.
Internet Wire is also set to launch a Web-based service targeting
Hispanic and Spanish-language media. According to spokesperson Amy
Orebaugh, Internet Wire Espanol will be posted on leading Hispanic
portal Quepasa.com, but will not be supported by daily e-mail bulletins
to journalists until May. Also, Internet Wire will charge companies a
dollars 200 translation fee.
Durazo said that NoticiasWire has the advantage of his firm’s e-mail
database of Hispanic journalists, policymakers and other VIPs. In

programs to build relationships with Hispanic media, such as sponsoring
