Beaupre & Company has taken a different approach to helping employees

deal with the oh-so-harsh realities of the working world, bringing

Alison Leahy on board last year as director of NurturePR. So while other

agencies are busy pitching the media, Beaupre staffers find themselves

in the midst of their own March Madness, which involves thumb-wrestling

tournaments and chocolate chip cookie bake-offs. And the best may lie

ahead: summertime at Beaupre means trips to outdoor cafes and to a

concert in the park every Wednesday for lunch.



’We want to make the firm a place people want to come to every day,’

Leahy says. ’PR is not easy. You have to lighten it up whenever you

can.’



While one might think that these activities take away from client

responsibilities, Leahy says that the agency is careful not to get

carried away. ’Events are typically at the end of the day and are short

and sweet. Everyone goes back to their desks with a buzz.’



No word on when naptime is or when the mats will arrive.
