NEW YORK: Silicon Alley firm Schwartz Public Relations Associates

has spun off its interactive PR business as a separate company, Schwartz

PR Interactive.

According to firm president Barry Schwartz, the move stemmed from the

agency’s work with Internet World and other Internet-related

companies.

As for forming a separate company rather than creating a division within

the firm, Schwartz said, ’Giving it its own identity makes a stronger

statement of our commitment to the category.’

Schwartz PR Interactive boasts seven employees who formerly worked

exclusively on Internet accounts, and is servicing seven clients

formerly represented by Schwartz PR, including internet.com and

iConnect.com.
