high-profile clients for its eHealthcare practice.

CVS, the largest retail drugstore chain in the US, tapped the

Portland-based agency last month to help launch ProCare Pharmacy of

Portland, which targets patients requiring ongoing drug therapies. Also

joining the NVC roster is First Insight, a company that provides

management software and e-commerce products for ophthalmologists,

optometrists and opticians.

New Ventures CEO Ray Berardinelli said the latest wins fit the agency’s

growth objectives: ’Building out our healthcare.com practice is part of

our strategy to ’go deep’ in particular industries that are embracing

technology in ways that fundamentally change the way business is being

done.’ He added that the financial services sector is the firm’s next

target.

To service the new business, NVC has added to its staff. Leslie Mancuso,

former field marketing manager for Medicine Shoppe International, and

Jeff Muir, who worked for Knoll and Co. PR and Advertising, have both

joined as SAEs.

Founded in 1998, NVC also handles clients in hi-tech, general Internet

and enterprise computing, including Emerald Solutions, WebCriteria and

Cenquest.
