PLACENTIA, CA: Orange County start-up Newsblaster.com is readying

an assault on the existing PR newswires with a new Web-based press

release distribution service designed for small businesses.

Scheduled to launch in June, Newsblaster.com will operate on a

subscription basis. Members will pay dollars 95 per quarter for

distribution of up to 10 press releases, while agencies will be charged

dollars 195 per quarter for up to 10 clients.

Included in that price is e-mail press release distribution to a

database of over 300,000 offline and online media contacts, specified by

industry classification; the ability to copy a member-supplied list of

customers, employees and other key non-media contacts; and online

clippings.

In addition, the Newsblaster.com technology will enable companies to

quickly draft basic news releases simply by answering a series of

questions.

Members will also receive a detailed feedback report (including names

and e-mail addresses) notifying them of everyone who has clicked on the

headline for their press release. Journalists, however, will have the

option of remaining anonymous.

’Our mission is to combine the capabilities of the In-ternet database

technologies with traditional public relations services,’ said

Newsblaster.com president Vince Walden.
