SAN FRANCISCO: Porter Novelli has ramped up its left-coast presence with the hiring of three VPs as well as five new high-profile healthcare and consumer tech wins.
Janice Odell, formerly a principal with Santa Rosa, CA hi-tech boutique firm Ford Odell Group, joined PN as a VP in the consumer technology group on April 27. In her new job, Odell will assist on several new accounts, including February addition eGreetings.
Jennifer Larson, a former account director for Countrywide Porter Novelli in London, came across the ocean early last month to serve as VP of PN/San Francisco's budding healthcare practice. In the newly created post, Larson will work on accounts for Biotech Company Gallileo Laboratories and CareThere, a Web-based community for chronically ill people and their caretakers. Both clients signed on with PN earlier this year.
In PN's well-established San Fran food and nutrition practice, which services PowerBar and the Chilean Fresh Fruit Association, former Paige Poulos Communications account director Roberta Klugman was hired as a VP. She replaces Laura Bachmann, who recently relocated to Santiago, Chile for personal reasons. Klugman also served as executive director and COO of the American Institute of Wine and Food.
Other recent PN/San Fran wins include Fleetwood Homes, the nation's largest builder of manufactured housing, which entrusted the agency with its consumer account.
