Incepta Group paint a picture of a surging PR division whose revenues

increased 77% to nearly dollars 64 million last year.

The strong numbers, according to CEO David Wright, were due mainly to

growth via acquisition, although he said organic growth has also been

strong.

Total revenue for the group was up 54% to dollars 120.2 million, and

pre-tax profits increased by 280% to dollars 37.1 million. The overall

figures include a dollars 17 million profit made from the sale of

Incepta’s stake in advertising giant Lopex following a failed takeover

bid.

Incepta’s recent acquisitions of Sard Verbinnen (PRWeek, April 10) and

German agency SEA took place after the reporting period ended.
