ROCHESTER, NY: Digital rights management firm Reciprocal has handed
its mid-six figure PR account to Shandwick.
Shandwick and its entertainment PR subsidiary Rogers & Cowan bested Cohn
&Wolfe, Text 100 and Manning, Selvage & Lee for the account, which will
focus on brand awareness and market education.
The account had previously been handled by Middleberg + Associates and
Lois Paul & Partners, but director of corporate communications Tony
Telloni said the company decided to consolidate its PR account under one
firm to ’rise above the noise’ in a rapidly expanding market.
’Rogers & Cowan knows the entertainment music business, and its LA
office has good corporate experience,’ he said. Added Reciprocal chief
marketing officer Ghada Hammouda, ’We selected Shandwick because of
their diverse experience, which integrates nicely with our businesses as
well as our plans to grow quickly on an international scale.’
Reciprocal offers back-end financial services for digital content owners
such as Sony and Houghton Mifflin.
