According to senior director of marketing and communications John Davis,

Jfax.com is seeking a Los Angeles boutique to assist with the company’s

impending re-launch. The firm could possibly be hired at a later date as

a full-time replacement for R&C.

’We’re looking to secure media coverage as we introduce our new name and

our new positioning, and to transition from a unified messaging company

to a provider of broader unified messaging solutions,’ Davis said. He

added that he hopes to have a new agency in place by the first week in

July.

Davis did not disclose his PR budget but noted that the company is

publicly traded and well-funded. ’We haven’t determined a set number

yet, but let’s just say we have enough to do what we want and need to

do,’ he explained.

Primarily an entertainment publicity firm, R&C had not produced the

results Jfax.com had been seeking, according to Davis.

Founded in late 1995 by a German Rap star, Jfax.com went public in 1999

and announced the start of a dollars 20 million integrated marketing

campaign last September.
