PLEASANTON, CA: Fresh off its win of the dollars 2 million-plus

Iomega account, Paine & Associates has been awarded a six-figure PR

contract for ViewSonic, a best-selling maker of PC monitors and

visual-display products.

One of Southern California’s biggest independents, Paine won out over

several undisclosed finalists in a competitive review for the account,

which includes consumer, b-to-b and trade PR. Though no exact figures

were disclosed, insiders put the value of the ViewSonic business between

dollars 300,000-dollars 500,000 in annualized fee revenue.

The privately held, dollars 1 billion company previously handled the

majority of its PR in-house, with some assistance from Manning Selvage &

Lee.

To oversee the Iomega account and to head up the agency’s expanding tech

practice, Paine has hired Western Digital product PR manager Valinda

Accetta.

Prior to her Western Digital tenure, Accetta co-founded Maple

Communications and worked in the Irvine, CA office of Hill & Knowlton.
