staff, snapping up two pros from the Financial Relations Board’s San

Fran outpost.

FRB senior associate and director Ian Bailey, who specialized in

semiconductors and e-commerce, has joined FitzGerald/SF as an account

director for the IR practice. Prior to his FRB tenure, Bailey worked for

Fleishman-Hillard in Chicago and at SquareMile Communications in the

UK.

FitzGerald has also poached FRB’s Mike Bishop, who signed on as an SAE

for IR.

’We found that a big percentage of our client roster had entered (SEC)

registration this year, while other already-public companies have

started to ask for IR as part of an integrated approach,’ said

FitzGerald VP Fred Bateman. ’We needed more resources beyond our

Cambridge IR team to assist with pre- and post-IPO financial

communications.’

Personic, Software.com, StockPoint and CrossWorlds Software are among

the clients for whom FitzGerald is doing IR.
