LONDON: Orange, one of the UK’s largest mobile phone networks, is once again hunting for a UK media relations manager following Alison Palmer’s resignation after just six weeks on the job.

A source close to Palmer said she had left the post ’of her own free

will,’ but a source within one of the agencies that works with the

company (Capitalize, Citigate Dewe Rogerson, Cohn & Wolfe, Henry’s House

and Text 100) said the move was ’not entirely her choice.’



Palmer was hired by corporate communications and sponsorship director

Denise Lewis at the end of April. At the time of her appointment, Palmer

said, ’I see Orange as a reflection of me. Orange wants to be known as

glamorous, to be famous globally. It’s a vision I share.’
