LOS ANGELES: Bender/Helper Impact (BHI) has spun off a separate
company focused on strategic business consulting.
Called EMbizImpact, the new, non-PR-oriented practice will provide
support for business and market development, expansion, M&As and
next-level VC funding.
Lee Helper will head up the new company while retaining his title as BHI
president. Dean Bender will continue in his role as head of the firm’s
consumer/home entertainment group.
’This allows me to focus on all those complementary business services
that are needed by clients who have gone beyond traditional PR needs,’
explained Helper. He added that none of the agency’s 70-odd employees
will follow him to EmbizImpact: ’We will be servicing clients with
individual consultants from our affiliate relationships and/or from a
joint venture we will announce soon.’
To accommodate the added work, BHI has brought Golin-Harris/LA VP Steve
Honig on board as SVP for the b-to-b unit’s West Coast operations, while
NY-based SVP Stu Ginsburg will run East Coast operations.
