Ladies and gentlemen, a new contender for the title of Most

Unintentionally Ironic Press Release: ’(Agency name) too busy for self

promotion; company adds 13 new clients.’

The release first notes how the firm has won 13 new clients over the

past six months (more than two per month?! In this PR recession? Get

outta here!). It continues by breathlessly explaining the delay in

releasing the joyous news to the outside world: ’The (agency) team has

been too busy devising successful marketing PR campaigns to send out a

press release on the wins.’

let up on their demands just long enough to allow for the creation of a

skillfully worded press release? We hope to unravel these and other

mysteries of the universe in a subsequent issue of PRWeek.
