Cunningham client Cisco Systems.

Cisco tapped Ricci for a newly created position that he called ’still a

work in progress. In essence, I will be a VP of strategic positioning,

creating thought leadership around the Cisco brand.’

Ricci emphasized that his new post was ’not a communications function,’

but added that he would be working closely with the corporate PR and

executive communications teams.

’This position was created because Cisco as a company really believes in

the concept of a marketplace of ideas - not a marketplace of products,

as Intel and Microsoft see it,’ he explained Ricci.

Cunningham has no plans to hire a direct replacement for Ricci. Prior to

his Cunningham stint, Ricci was a founding partner of Neale-May &

Partners.
