While TV comics and The Economist cited the move as further evidence of

the state’s ’hillbilly and moonshine reputation,’ the backyard location

will save taxpayers the cost of a two-site security force and eliminate

the need to buy the governor a second home.



Alas, stereotypes die hard: the Huckabees will be parking their trailer

in the governor’s backyard, not far from two bass boats. And their

hunting dog will be moving in with them.
